You have touched such a sore place in me, but it helps to know I'm not alone and nor was my mother, who was mentally and emotionally brutalised by psychiatrists and even psychologists and of course stigmatised horribly. It left me so vulnerable as a child that I ended up having many of the same experiences she did. I grieve for her more than I do for me because at least I can access real help and compassion. It's unbearable to me that she couldn't. She was so brave.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and I truly hear your pain ❤. My work is for all mothers, like yours and mine, and in honour of their immense bravery. We are not alone and we will continue to find compassionate and trauma-informed ways forward x
